Changes, changes...

Too bad I didn't blog for a looooong time!
My girlfriend came to visit me in Hong Kong, we visited EVERYTHING!
Plus, I just moved back to Italy... everything has been very busy lately!

It's just so good to be home, even if I miss my boyfriend and my dog really bad :(
and changes are always really hard, but I always try to be super positive and to embrace them!
That's what I'm up to lately!
It's just so odd because even if this is my home, my city... I feel like a whole new person, I look at the same places, and streets, and buildings that I've been looking at forever and I see them in a different way.

I always knew that this year in Hong Kong would have changed me. I still don't know HOW but I know it has, and it will. And I'm so ready/curious/excited to figure it out!
Changes changes.
Sometimes they're just a lot of fun!

Cause you had a bad day

Today I woke up to a horrible headache and some really bad mood. I wanted to go eat sushi for lunch, but it's raining SO bad, thus I had some green tea instead, and the only thing that can make a girl happy: chocolate!
I only have 2 days left to pack almost all my stuff before my best friend come to visit (can't wait!) and I suppose I don't have any excuse not to do it today, since it's raining to much to go anywhere!
But well, we all know that I'll find the strength to go shopping anyway! :D

I played around with watercolors last night, I painted 'till 2 am, and that's the result. It's only an experiment, and I didn't really mind the final result, I always go crazy when one on my paintings turn out not the way I pictured it in my head, and the situation always ends with me ripping up the leaf. But I think I did pretty good considering the fact I haven't drawn anything for like years, and I can't really use watercolors, so...
I just followed the inspiration and that's always good. I believe that in the creative process nothing can be WRONG...
What do you think?

Inspirations

Yes, it's her.
She's Blair Eadie from the blog Atlantic-Pacific, but I prefer to call her PERFECTION.
I just L-O-V-E her, her style it's super lovely to me.
I'd wear every single item in her closet!
A perfect mix between chic and preppy, she loves colors, prints and yes, of course she lives in the Big Apple!

Well, now I'm just super inspired for super full skirts, and oh, ACCIDENTALLY I have the whole afternoon off from work! Online shopping here I comeeee! ;)

Matchy Matchy trend

1.Zara//2.Zara//3.Topshop//4.Topshop//5.Topshop//6.Topshop

Matchy matchy! Ohhh maybe my favorite trend of the season (together with the all-WHITE of course!)
I just bought a red suit from Zara and I can't wait to wear it!

The weather is just so bad lately in Hong Kong! Its rainy and windy... but well, what do I care? I stay 10 hours a day locked in this shop :D

Victoria Park

Another sightseeing day with Andrea and his lovely family :)
I took them to Victoria Park, in Causwaybay. I love that park, I usually go there when I have a little bit of spare time. Usually it's very quiet, but yesterday was SUNDAY so it was FULL of maids on their day off.
Yeah, one (of the many) curious facts about Hong Kong is that there are a lot of maids;
they don't have a house on their own, they live at home with the (rich) family who hire them.
Sunday is their day off, and apparently they can't stay at home with their "bosses" so they go out and spend the entire day all around the city.
At the park, or near some mall, or even in the middle of some street. They are just SO MANY! They sit on the floor and sing, dance, play cards, talk with friends, eat...
We still don't understand why the hell they can't go to the beach or somewhere nice and confortable, instead of the floor of the streets of Hong Kong! XD But it's ok, it's one of the many Hong Kong mysteries we will never solve.

Sightseeing around HK

Yesterday was my day off from work (YAY) and my boyfriend's parents are in town (super YAY) so we went sightseeing. I always love to act like a tourist! No matter if I live here from almost a year, I still feel such a tourist! I love taking pictures of everything I see, and here in Hong Kong every time you turn your head you can see something really WEIRD worth taking a picture of. I love it!

I feel SO lucky for being here. It's not my dream-city, that's true, I don't wanna live here forever, it's not really "me".
But life is a loooong trip, and I feel lucky that Hong Kong is being a stop-over of this trip. It's not easy to have such an opportunity to compare yourself with such a different culture!

I've always dreamt about traveling around the world, living in a lot of places, building a piece of life everywhere. I love how difficult is it at the beginning, and how you feel completely LOST because you're on your own, with no job, no parents and no friends looking after you (of course I'm super lucky and grateful that I can do all of this together with the love of my life. I couldn't make it without him :)) and I love the most, when you actually MAKE IT, and find a job and earn your own money, and meet friends, and all you can think about is, IF I CAN MAKE IT THERE, I CAN MAKE IT EVERYWHERE, as Frank Sinatra said. And you feel stronger and stronger :)

Life can be so good if you want it :)
