Victoria Park

Another sightseeing day with Andrea and his lovely family :)
I took them to Victoria Park, in Causwaybay. I love that park, I usually go there when I have a little bit of spare time. Usually it's very quiet, but yesterday was SUNDAY so it was FULL of maids on their day off.
Yeah, one (of the many) curious facts about Hong Kong is that there are a lot of maids;
they don't have a house on their own, they live at home with the (rich) family who hire them.
Sunday is their day off, and apparently they can't stay at home with their "bosses" so they go out and spend the entire day all around the city.
At the park, or near some mall, or even in the middle of some street. They are just SO MANY! They sit on the floor and sing, dance, play cards, talk with friends, eat...
We still don't understand why the hell they can't go to the beach or somewhere nice and confortable, instead of the floor of the streets of Hong Kong! XD But it's ok, it's one of the many Hong Kong mysteries we will never solve.

Sightseeing around HK

Yesterday was my day off from work (YAY) and my boyfriend's parents are in town (super YAY) so we went sightseeing. I always love to act like a tourist! No matter if I live here from almost a year, I still feel such a tourist! I love taking pictures of everything I see, and here in Hong Kong every time you turn your head you can see something really WEIRD worth taking a picture of. I love it!

I feel SO lucky for being here. It's not my dream-city, that's true, I don't wanna live here forever, it's not really "me".
But life is a loooong trip, and I feel lucky that Hong Kong is being a stop-over of this trip. It's not easy to have such an opportunity to compare yourself with such a different culture!

I've always dreamt about traveling around the world, living in a lot of places, building a piece of life everywhere. I love how difficult is it at the beginning, and how you feel completely LOST because you're on your own, with no job, no parents and no friends looking after you (of course I'm super lucky and grateful that I can do all of this together with the love of my life. I couldn't make it without him :)) and I love the most, when you actually MAKE IT, and find a job and earn your own money, and meet friends, and all you can think about is, IF I CAN MAKE IT THERE, I CAN MAKE IT EVERYWHERE, as Frank Sinatra said. And you feel stronger and stronger :)

Life can be so good if you want it :)

Today's favorites

Candles
Oh, I'm SO in love with candles and everything that gives a scent and a little bit of personality to the house. I always want more and more candles (almost) just like shoes!

Bath salt&stuff
YES PLEASE to everything that makes bubbles, smells good and that you can put in your bathtub.
I'm really sick about looong baths, I can't help myself.
RIGHT NOW we don't have a bathtub, but in our next house there will be a HUGE one (Andrea, YOU PROMISED!!!! ;) )

Cherry colored lip balm
Just a everyday treat I give to myself. I'm not always in the mood to wear lipstick or lipgloss, but I really love having a little bit of color on my lips. That's the best solution to me!
soft, colored, and with the sweetest smell!

Crazy sunglasses
Oh boy, how cool are those glasses? I was looking for them for a while and finally I found the cheapest option! Can't wait to buy them for the summer ;)

Springy necklaces
When I feel that summer-thing, I just go crazy and all I wanna do is to wear colorful things, flowers, and HUGE accessories!
I found this necklace on Etsy. I can say it feeds perfectly all my summery cravings :p

Crazy manicures
Oh yes, another thing I'm paranoid with: perfect nails.
I like to always have fresh and polished nails done (I put my nail polish, keep it for 3-4 days, depending on the nail polish, then I take it off and I leave my nails to breath for at least 8 hours, then I repeat :)).
I usually stick to the classic reds, pinks and sometime when its winter, black.
But in spring/summer I love to rock some crazy manicure, I love colored nail patches, and how cute is it this feline manicure? Meow!

Plants
We are still pretty precarious, we don't know how long will we stay in Hong Kong, and most of all in this house. It's almost a year, but it's WAY too small for us (and our little crazy dog)!
But for sure, I want LOTS of green plants and flowers in my next (perfect and imaginary) house!
I just feel so positive in places with lots of green :)

Philippines photo diary

I always make a lot of random lits, lists for everything, I'm obsessed by everything that involve organizing AND notebooks, paper and pencils.
Wish-list, to do-list, to buy-list, whatever-list.
I (obviously) have a things-to-do-in-hong-kong-before-I-leave-list.
One of those things was visit a tropical and paradisiac island.
I think I can definitely check it off

Looking forward to accomplish the next one on the list! ;)
